The National Prayer breakfast for Scotland was held on Wednesday 14 June this year. This key event in the national calendar was the largest ever in 2023, with tickets sold out ahead of the day. The 400 fortunate people who attended had an amazing time praying for this nation and gathering around the name of Jesus.

As well as the largest ever number of national leaders, including MSPs, were we very pleased to be able to welcome the First Minister, Humza Yousaf, to the event. There was also representation from all sectors of society including business, sport, academia and the public sector.

Those attending were delighted to have the musical contribution from Susan Boyle and Jai McDowall of Britain’s Got Talent fame. The key note speaker this year was Rev Nicky Gumbel, creator of Alpha, who shared from his extensive experience on this years theme of Resilience. Those attending also heard from Terry McCutcheon, founder of Hope for Glasgow, about how Jesus had made such an amazing difference in his life.
